Preserving Your Voicemails Before Mitel to Zoom Phone Migration

As we transition from Mitel to Zoom Phone, please note that voicemails will not be automatically transferred. If you wish to preserve important voicemails, follow the steps below before the migration date.

Steps to Save Your Mitel Voicemails

  • Use your desk phone, Mitel Connect app, or the Mitel web portal.
  • Dial your voicemail shortcut (e.g., *86) or use the Voicemail button.

Listen to your saved messages and note which ones you want to preserve.

  • Search your email for voicemails sent as attachments (.wav or .mp3).
  • Download and save these files to a secure folder.

  • Log in to the Mitel Connect Client or Web Portal.
  • Go to the Voicemail tab.
  • Right-click on messages and select 'Download' or 'Save As'.

  • Play the voicemail on speakerphone.
  • Record the message using a phone or recording software.
  • Save the audio file with a clear name.

Important Notes

  • Voicemails will NOT be transferred to Zoom Phone.
  • After the migration, access to Mitel voicemail will be discontinued.
  • Contact IT for assistance if needed.
