Available Actions

During Open Enrollment, you can:

  • Change your medical, dental, vision or voluntary plan(s)
  • Add or remove eligible dependents
  • Cancel your existing medical, dental or vision plan(s)
  • Enroll in a medical, dental, vision or voluntary plan, if currently waived
  • Enroll or change volume in voluntary life and/or accident death and dismemberment insurance plans
  • Begin or re-certify cash-in-lieu status – Annual certification is required
  • Enroll or re-enroll in a flexible spending account (FSA) – Annual enrollment is required to continue to participate each year.

CalPERS Medical

  • Removal of UnitedHealthcare HMO plans
  • Addition of Sutter Health HMO plan
    • Available only in Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Solano, Yolo County

Delta Dental PPO Plan Improvements

The increased cost to make these improvements is 100% covered by the District

Annual maximum benefit increase

The annual maximum benefit will increase from $2,000 to $6,000, providing significantly greater coverage before members become responsible for additional costs.

Immediate access to full benefits for preventive and basic care

With this enhancement, members will have access to the plan’s full benefits from their first year of coverage.

Higher reimbursement levels to dental providers for dental services

Delta Dental will now base covered procedure reimbursements on the typical costs charged in our local region, rather than a statewide average, reducing out-of-pocket expenses for members.

Increased District Contribution

Kaiser HMO, Blue Shield HMO Trio and PERS PPO Gold continue to be at $0 contribution for employee only and employee with dependents with any combination of dental and vision plans.
