  • Student Parking Permits can also be purchased directly in person at the Admissions & Records (A&R) Office at West Valley College or Mission College  during normal business hours. 
  • For online purchases, a printable temporary parking permit will also be provided if the permit purchased is currently in use.
  • To purchase a semester-length permit, either online or in person, you will need to know your vehicles make, model, vehicle type, year, color, and license plate number.
  • If you are a Financial Aid student receiving a California Promise Grant (Formerly Board of Governors Waiver),  you can purchase your permit online, but you must do so via link in the student Portal located on the college website, and you must enter your student ID number when prompted.
  • Semester-length parking permit refund requests must be made in accordance with the refund schedule identified by Admissions. For permits purchased in-person at the Admissions Office, please take your permit to the Admissions Office to request a refund. For permits purchased online and mailed to your home, please take your permit to the District Police office on campus.
  • One-day "Daily" parking permits may be purchased at any of the daily permit dispensers located in the parking lots. Daily permits are $3.00 per day and all dispensers will accept cash/one-dollar bills, coins, and credit cards.
  • To be valid, all permits must be displayed on the front dashboard and the entire permit, including the expiration date, must be clearly visible from the outside of vehicle.


PARKING PERMITS:

Semester-length student parking permit may be purchased Online 

or in person at the Admission & Records Offices at West Valley College or Mission College.

To purchase a semester-length permit, either online or in person, you will need to know your vehicle's
 Make,  Model, Vehicle type , Year , Color, and License plate number.

For online purchases, a printable temporary permit (pdf) will also be provided if the permit is currently in use.
Please print out and display the temp parking permit on your vehicle's front dashboard 
while the actual permit is being delivered in the mail by the US Postal Service.


PERMIT PLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

A permit is to be attached to the inside lower-left corner of the front windshield (driver's side).
To be properly placed, it must be affixed to the inside of the front windshield, bottom corner, driver's side.
A permit is not valid if any part of the permit or vehicle information is not visible from the outside.
A valid parking permit must be displayed on the vehicle when parked on campus.
Improper, non-display of a permit or failure to display a valid permit may result in a parking citation.


SEMESTER PARKING PERMIT PURCHASE:

A semester-length student parking permit may be purchased Online at
www.westvalley.edu   or  www.missioncollege.edu  
or in person at the Admissions and Records (A&R) Office.


Semester-length student parking permits are valid for use at both West Valley and Mission College.

- Permit is valid for use at both West Valley College and Mission College, but only in student parking areas and
  only during the dates indicated on the permit.

- One Day Visitor or Daily Parking Permit:

Daily permits are $3.00 per day and valid on the date purchased only.

One day "Daily" parking permits may be purchased at any of the daily permit dispensers located in the parking lots.

All dispensers will accept one dollar bills, Coins including quarters, dimes, and nickels . Credit cards are accepted.

Daily permits must be displayed on the front dashboard and the expiration date must be visible from the outside of vehicle.


At Mission College all daily permit dispensers will accept credit cards.

At West Valley College daily permit dispensers in parking lots 2, 4, 5, 7, and Tennis Courts will accept credit cards.

Once purchased, daily permits may be used in any student parking stall on campus.

• One Day (Daily) Permit Kiosks (Yellow machines) are available:

- At West Valley College: in all parking Lots.

- At Mission College: in parking Lots B, C, D.

 

  

Fall 2019 Semester Permit (Valid 8/1/2019 - 1/24/2020)  

- FALL 2019 SEMESTER ( August 24, 2019 - December 14, 2019)

A student “grace-period” will be observed during the week immediately prior to the start of the fall semester and

during the first week of the fall semester . The "grace-period" begins on Monday, August 19, 2019 and ends on Monday, September 2, 2019.

Please note that the grace-period no longer includes the second week of the semester.

During the “grace-period”, no parking citations will be issued to any vehicle that is parked in a marked student parking

stall without a permit; all other parking violations will be enforced.

Parking citations will be issued to vehicles failing to display a valid student parking permit beginning

Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

During the Fall 2019 Semester (August 24, 2019 - December 14, 2019) all of the following permits will be valid for use:  

- Fall 2019 Semester Permit (Valid 8/1/2019 - 1/24/2020)

-One day (Daily) Permit -valid only for the date purchased - $3.00 per day.   

Winter 2020 Session Parking Permit

- WINTER 2020 SESSION ( January 2, 2020 - January 23, 2020)

There is no student parking grace-period offered during any of the Winter session.

All vehicles parked on campus during the Winter session must have a valid parking permit properly displayed at all times.

During the Winter 2020 Session (Thursday, January 2 - Thursday, January 23, 2020) all of the following permits will be valid for use:  

- Fall 2019 Semester Permit (Valid 8/1/2019 - 1/24/2020)
- Spring 2020 Semester Permit (Valid 12/15/2019 - 5/31/2020)

-One day (Daily) Permit -valid only for the date purchased - $3.00 per day.

Students who have already purchased a Fall 2019 or Spring 2020 semester length permit may use either of these permits to legally park on campus during the Winter Session. In addition, any student who is officially enrolled in a Winter Session class, and who does not already own a Fall 2019 or Spring 2020 semester length permit is eligible to receive a FREE student parking permit valid for use during the 2020 Winter Session. Winter Session students may pick -up their free student parking permit at the Admissions and Records office during normal business hours.

Spring 2020 Semester Permit (Valid 12/15/2019 - 5/31/2020)  

- SPRING 2020 SEMESTER (January 25, 2020 - May 22, 2020)

A student “grace-period” will be observed during the week immediately prior to the start of the spring semester and during the first week of the spring semester . The "grace-period" begins on Monday, January 20, 2010 and ends on Sunday, February 2, 2020.

Please note that the grace-period no longer includes the second week of the semester.

During the “grace-period”, no parking citations will be issued to any vehicle that is parked in a marked student parking stall without a permit; all other parking violations will be enforced.

Parking citations will be issued to vehicles failing to display a valid student parking permit beginning

Monday, February 3, 2020.

During the Spring 2020 Semester (January 25, 2020 - May 22, 2020) all of the following permits will be valid for use:  
- Spring 2020 Semester Permit (Valid )

-One day (Daily) Permit -valid only for the date purchased - $3.00 per day.        


IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

- Purchase and/or possession of a parking permit does not authorize parking on campus. It is the responsibility of the driver to properly park the vehicle and display a valid permit. Failure to properly display a valid permit will result in a citation.

- If you forget your permit you must purchase a daily parking permit from one of the daily permit dispensers located in the parking lots.

- Stolen permits should be immediately reported to the West Valley-Mission Community College District Police
Department at (408) 855-5435 or in person.

- Lost permit will not be replaced free of charge, however, a replacement permit may be purchased at the original price. This includes California Promise Grant (Formerly Board of Governors Waiver) students purchased their permits at the discounted price.
