Nick Heimlich Named WVMCCD provisional Trustee

At the May 18 Board meeting, the Trustees of the West
Valley-Mission Community College District administered the oath of office to
Nick Heimlich. He will serve in this
position until the regular election is held in November 2010. A lawyer who grew
up in Santa Clara, CA near Mission College, he replaces Trustee Chris
Constantin who resigned to accept a job for the City of San Diego.
Heimlich says, "I decided to run for office because
I believe community colleges are essential to turning around the economic crisis
in Silicon Valley. I look forward to bringing my expertise and resources to
assist West Valley and Mission Colleges in accomplishing their goals, including
accessibility for all residents.”
He received his Bachelors from the University of
California, San Diego in Economics and graduated from Wake Forest University
School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
