Open Public Meeting: Faculty comments on items that are on the open meeting agenda.
Open-Other: Faculty may speak on items NOT on the agenda.

Guidelines for faculty participation at ACE Council meetings:

These are guidelines for members who wish to speak at a Council meeting. We
would like to give everyone a fair opportunity to speak.

Items on the Agenda:
We welcome comments on items that are on the open meeting agenda for that
meeting. In fairness to those who wish to speak and as a courtesy to those
who have come to listen, we request the following: when the President
opens an item for discussion please raise your hand so that you can be
listed as a person who wishes to comment on a topic (note: faculty
comments will be heard after the ACE Reps have made their comments); limit
your comments to three (3) minutes. If you wish to give an opinion which
has already been expressed by others, please do not be repetitive. The
President may impose additional time limitations on any major discussions
involving multiple speakers.

Items not on the Agenda:
We will follow the same process as for Items on the Agenda with one
exception: the Council members will not speak but they will listen and
accept the input from the faculty.
